At a meeting of Cabinet yesterday approval was given tor the expenditure of £1495 for the (Joverrmen. railway workshop machinery and £19,375 for the purchase of rolling stock. It was deciiled to pipe' ai order for ten locomotives. The low •st tender was accepted for tin erection of a post office at Temuka.
