INDIANS AT FIJI.
A SERIOUS MENACE. (Received 3, 9.25 a.m.) Sydney, April 3. Arthur Griffiths, a prominent Fiji settler has arrived at Sydney. He states that there are already 45,000 Indians in Fiji, and if they continue to come at the present rate it will practically be an Indian colony in five years time. The Indians run the place and the Fijians are rapidly melting away. The only way to save them is to substitute individualism for the communal system. The In- , dian menace is serious enough to warrant the Commonwealth taking action.
