CHAMPIONSHIP MEETINGS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION’.] Wellington, April 3. At the quarterly meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, the motion that the New Zealand championships be held only in the four principal cities, alternately in the North and South Islands, was -ejected. Another motion that the North and South Island single championship, forXladies and gents, at a cost not exceeding twenty guineas, to provide for permanent trophies, lapsed for want of a seconder.
