Mr. S. E. McCarthy, S.M.. has amended his days for silting at the various places on his circuit, from May Ist. He will sit at Hastings four times in a month and at Dannevirke three times in a month, instead of as .formerly four times at Dannevirke and three at Hastings. The sitting days for April, during which time. Mr. Cutton, S.M.. will be on the Bench, have also been amended. At the Napier Magistrate’s Court, before Mr. J. P. Thomson. J.P., John S. Taylor, who pleaded guilty to drunkenness, was convicted and fined 20 - in default 4 days* imprisonment. Frederick William Ireland anti Ernest Charles Zachan were charged with stealing at Port Ahuriri one bag of oats valued at 12 ■-, the propertv of Williams and Kettle, Ltd. The accused were remanded till Monday. Ist April. 1912, each in his own recognisance, bail being allowed at £2O and one security of £h>.
