SKATING CARNIVAL.

A poster and fancy dress skating carnival was held in the Olvmpi i rink, Hastings, last night, when th ■ whole of the space available for ‘he publie was taxed to its utmost capacity. The different dresses were :’ideed a treat to see, and the wn< io affair was a gorgeous success. Tong, the first winner of the Challenge Cup for fast skating, with a beautiful silver cup neatlv inscribed. One of the features of the carn-va’ the skating of the little sevenboy, YY ilfred Sorenson.
