GRACE ELTON COMEDY CO. In our advertising columns will be found an announcement respecting this elever company of comedians, dancers, balladists, instrumentalists, bellringers, and trick violinists. Their trade mark is Mirth and Melody. Fun and Frivolity. Grace Elton is well known as an accomplished actress and musician, while Fred Elton (well known here now), as a comedian, dancer,- anil general funmaker, bears the highest credentials from all over the world. The company played here three years ago, and are well remembered to-day. Mr. Elton is giving a percentage of the receipts to the Plunket Nursing Fund. The box plan is now open at Hall’s; reserved seats 3/6. Other prices are the popular 2;- and 1. -. The date is next Fri- / day, the location Princess Theatre, Hastings. The company play at Havelock to-morrow, and are giving a percentage of the receipts from that performance to the Plunket Fund. KING’S THEATRE, HASTINGS. To-night, at the King’s Theatre, another big swagger of star pictures will be screened. The Hastings audiences always like Australian stories of convict days, and to-night their liking will be well suited by the 3000 ft. film entitled “ The Assigned Servant.” Every portion of tins film is’full of stirring and fascinating episodes. The tale deals' with Australia a hundred years ago, and conveys a vivid impression of the convict settlements and the hardships, privation and cruelties the unfortunates concerned had to undergo. On the educational side there is much of an instructive nature, and .chief amongst these pictures is “ The World's Greatest Engineering An i 1 a is given of how New York is supplied with water and the great difficulties that had to be surmounted to get- the muchneeded water to the busy center* is clearly shown. PRINCESS THEATRE, HASTINGS. The new programme to-night includes a splendid Champion film, “ The Girl and the Spy."’ The-Bison film is “A Red Man’s Gratitude.” The comics are a real good lot. “ His First Long Trousers ” is very funny. “Hi Feathertop at the Fair ” is a regular screamer, and “ He would Dance ” is a good cure for a disordered liver. The industrial film is “ Making Electric Cables,” and the scenic is " Views on Lake Iseo.” Next week the first- anniversary of the International Picture Company will be celebrated, and the management will mark the occasion byputting on an exceptionally fine programme, including the celebrated Nordisk picture, “ Love and Friendship,” a film 3000 feet long. OLYMPIA RINK, HASTINGS. Another good muster of skaters was in attendance at the rink last evening. To-night, at 8.30, the fast race fortytimes round the rink will take place. Both the competitors are in good condition, and the time that they put up should be fast indeed. ST. PATRICK S CONCERT. Lovers of high-class music -are reminded of the Irish national concert to be held in the Princess Theatre. Hastings, on Monday evening next, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The best talent in Hawke’s Bay has been engaged, and a musical treat is in store for those who patronise this.popular musical event. ,
