BLOOD STOCK SALES. (Received 99, 10.5 a.m.) Melbourne, Mar. 9. At the sales of blood stock mares, Lady Molly was sold for 500gns, Snowy River for lOOOgns, Mary for 550gns, Wood Nymph 510gns. The stallion Bright Steel fetched 2000gns. QUESTIONABLE RIDING. HECTOR GREY DISQUALIFIED Dannevirke, March 9. An adjourned meeting of the Dannevirke Racing Club called to consider Hector Gray’s riding of Miss Augusta in the Telephone Hack Handicap on the second day of the Dannevirke meeting was held last night. It was resolved that having seen Gray’s riding and heard his explanation of it, they find, as a fact, that he deliberate’," and obviously rode his mount not to win, and deliberately interfered with Ladrino’s chance of winning. They accordingly disqualify him for 12 months.
