ACCOUNTANCY STUDENTS.

MEETING AT HASTINGS. An enthusiastic meeting of the H.BAccountant, Students Society was held in Mr. J. A. Fraser’s office, Hastings, last night, at which there were present eighteen members. Mr. Trimble occupied the chair. The following officers were elected:President, Air. J. A. Fraser; vicepresidents, Messrs. XXL McCulloch, C. D. XViison, C. B. R. Maltby, J. Sondt-' maim, C.. H. Bisson : secretary, Mr. C. Masters; auditor, Mr. W. P. Mitchell. General and preliminary business was discussed. It was arranged for some of the members to journey to Napier on Saturday night next, to meet those .interested in accountancy subjects, and endeavour to form one joint bixly of Napier and Hastings students, thus making the local society a. strong one. The next meeting is to be.held on the 27th inst. the subject for discussion being “ Criticism of Balance-sheets.”
