First 30/-, second 10/-. RULES AND CONDITIONS. The competitor aggregating the highest number of points in the three events Te Aute Handicap will receive a Special Prize of £2/2/-. Acceptances for Running Events close on the ground. Three competitors, or no second prize. Nominations for Running Events close on SATURDAY, MARCH 29th, and must be accompanied by entrance fee and competitors’ last two years’ performances (on N.Z.A.U. forms preferred). If no performance within last two years, then last performances. Nominations for all events other than running are post entry, and must be given to the Secretary as early as possible. DEER-STALK ING SEASON. LICENSES to shoot Red Deer Stags only, together with tag labels for affixing to the heads, can be obtained from the Chief Postmaster, Napier, on payment of a license fee of £4. No license holder is entitled to shoot more than 3 heads of not less than ten points each. The season will commence on April Ist, 1912, and close May 13th, 1912, both days inclusive, subject to the provisions of the Animals’ Protection Act, 1908. rpHE PUBLIC and Holders of Licenses to kill Deer are hereby cautioned against shooting or in any way interfering with the Black-tailed Deer in the Tarawerajdistriet.
