N.Z. DEFENCE FORCES. THE ORINGI ARTILLERY CAMP Dannevirke. Feb. 17. The artillery camp at Oringi was concluded to-day. It is admitted that the instructions have been most beneficial. The artillery have practised with live shells up to 3000 yards. The Engineers have had the work of constructing rafts, pontoon bridges, etc. All th * formalities of camp life were gone through in approved style. The camping ground at Oringi is an ideal site for a training ground. It is not improbable that the ground may he secured for a permanent camp.

Jones, of the Engineers, was taken to the local hospital suffering from fever, but he is improving.
