FEILDING SHOW. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] ’ Feikling, Feb. 6. The A. and P. Society's show was opened to-day vvitli record entries and in fine weather. The principal awards are as follows:- — Harness Horses.--Stallion for breeding carriage horses, Messrs. Carr and AdiKott’s Britain's Pride; ware for breeding. Mr. H. P. 'laylors Belle. Draught Horses'.—Mr. E. Short’s Royal Treasure, champion. The same •xhibitor won nearly all the prizes in this class. Fat Cattle.--Mess-s. Sho:t and T. A. Duncan divid ’d- the prizes. Pedigree Herefords. —Mr. 1-,. Short won all the firsts ami championships. Ayrshires. — Mr. T. H. Colpman won all the prizes, except for bull any ago, which was won by Mr. J. McFarland s Lord Glenham 111.

Jerseys.--Mr. S. R. Lancaster was the principal winner. Holstoins.- -Mr. A. H. Street mm tirst nrize for cow, ami Mr. Lovelock first for heifer. « The fat sheep prizes were diviiml between the Higliden Estate and Messrs. F. S. Mcßae, A. E. ami A. Symes, J. Shoi-tall. Reid and Son, J. Knight, and A. F. Fitzherbert. <

Fat Lambs. —Messrs. S. Gray ami Bazil Thomson are the principal winners. In flock Romneys Messrs. \\ . Gibson, IV. E. Baker, and L. Pleasants, and in purebred Ronmevs Messrs. J. It. Hewitt and A. R. Fannin were the chief winners.

In purebred Lincolns Mr. H. Gaisford won most prizes. In Border Leicosters Mr. J. Dewtliwaite won every thing. In English Leicosters Mr. S. 11. Lancaster took all the first prizes, as lie also did in Soutlidowns. , Pigs were a. weak class. The champion Yorkshire boar was shown by Mr. J. D. Balmer. The driving compettion was won by Miss Jess’e Campbell, and tin- Maiden Hunters’ by Mr. A'. Shannon's Flirt. DANNEVIRKE SHOW. AttractivcL-got-up posters now being displayed in the windows of business premises m Napier and elsewhere direct attention to the Daimevirke. A. and P. Show, which will be held on Wednesday next, 14th im-t. Visitors who have attended the two previous shows speqk in warm praise of the arrangements, the attractiveness of the grounds, and the quality of the stock exhibited.

On this occasion the Railway D«p.nt ment are granting special facilities to would-be Mstois, t'lr, baling an inged to issue holiday excursion fares from .Napier and all intermediate points; tickets being available for return until the Saturday after the show. The time-table also has bean altered in a way which should suit the coin onience of all. enabling visitors to reach Dannevirke in comfort m time to see all theie is to s< e. while'the return tram w ill enable them to reach their homes at a reasonable hour. MASTERTON SHOAY. * Although entries for the Alasferton A. and P. Association’s annual showy to be held on the beautiful Solway Grounds on February 2()th and 21st, closed on Saturday last, late entries will he received up till Saturday next. The entries which have already come to hand indicate that the annual Masterton Show, which is now regarded as the premier autumn fixture of the Dominion, will eclipse all previous gatherings. The fifteen thousand people who visited last year’s show.were delighted with the charming Solway' Grounds, the lino show ring, the sheep pavilions. tli<‘ agricultural hall, and the splendid grand stand and other arrangements. brom •tn exhibitor’s point of view, there is no fat sto-k show to equal this one in the Dominion. Show stock consigned to Purakau is landed right on the grounds. There is an abundance of holding ground, and there is no danger of stock suffering in course of transit, or after arrival.
