11.8. HIGHLAND SOCIETY’S SPORTS.
To-morrow will be the last day cm which nominations can be received for the principal events of the Hawke’s Bay Highland Society’s Caledonian sports. For the convenience of Hastings and country competitors arrangements have been made with Air. C. P. Lindegreen, Hastings, to receive nominations and entries. NEW ZEALAND AM \TEUR ASSOCIATION. Wellington. Feb. 5. A meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held to-night. An application from the Wellington centre for the control of the next cross country cliampicnslrp was held ovt r. other centres to be written to in the meantime.
