UNCHECKED FISCAL AUTONOMY. London, Feb. 3. Mr. J. Robertson, M.P., speaking in London, said that the real difficulty in Home Rule was Ireland’s claim for complete and absolutely unchecked fiscal autonomy. If that was granted it would imply the disintegration of the L'nited Kingdom. There was no hope for a Home Rule Bill embodying such a claim. Of 600 Presbyterian ministers in Ireland lib refused to join in the protest against Home Rule.
