HAWKE’S BAY TOURNAMENT. Keen interest is being evinced in the boxing contest to take place at the Princess Theatre. Hastings, on February Ist, Rain Fair night. The programme includes two professional bouts. Barney Ireland, of XX a:pawa. and Jim Sharp, of New South Wales, will compete for the possession of a £3O purse, and the popular Tim Tracey, of Wellington, and Fetcr Cook, of New South XX ales, who recently did battle against Alf. Gault, will cross swords to decide the ownership of a stake of £5O. Tracey and Cook are claimed to be the loading lightweights In the Dominion at the present time, and natrons can rely on witnessing an mteresting battle. Beth bouts are set down, for fifteen rounds each. Sharp’s record to date is as follows : —

March. 1910, beat S. Cripps. 2 rounds at Klopps Harbour. New ■■onth V ales.

May. 1911, drew with Jack G’Brien. 4 rounds, at D’alzenc Valley. New South AX ales.

June. 1910. beat George Stirling. 3 rounds, knock out at Sydney.
