GERMAN ELECTIONS.
HOM' THE VOTING WENT. Berlin, Jan. 16. The Socialists polled 4,238,000 votes, the Centre 2,012,000, the National Liberals 1,671,000, the Radicals 1,556,000, the Conservatives 1,159,000, out of a total of 12,188,000. PERSIA AND RUSSIA. A LONDON DEMONSTRATION. London, Jan. 16. The Persian Committee organised a demonstration cf 3000 persons in London against any encroachment on the integrity of Persia. Sih Thomas Barclay presided, and Clifford and a- number of members of Parliament were present. Mr Ramsay Alacdonald stated that the folly and shortsightedness of the British. Foreign Office had caused the whole trouble.
