STATEMENT BY REV. HAMMOND. (Rcccivc l 17, 1(>.lo a.m.) Sydney. Jan. 17. At a meeting of ti e Counc’l cf Yew South Wales Alliance, delegates who participated in the New Zealand prohibition campaign detailed their impressions. Cne stated ii was the most pc-wer-ful factor in the cause of prohibition and bad the enthusiastic support cf the Labour party. The Rev. Hammond declared having been in every no-license area of tb.e Dominion, and lie felt more than crcr convinced c-f the value and effectiveness of no-l’cense. He repfserted that bo bad' never said anything which warranted Archbishop Redwood using his name in connection with tb.e use of wine for sacrani( ntal nurnoscs.
