At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Amat-eur Association, a profit was reported on recent Australasian championships of £212. Jt was decided to discontinue the practice cf giving caps and badges to athletes reaching the standard as at •n-esont. certificates would be given ti'siend. In a distance under 4-lGyds. only the winner of the heat or final is to be eligible. The mover of the resolution roi,! the caps and badges were no longer valuable and were in fact quite c-ut-oi-datc.
A special medal was presented..to Hugh who ran second in the three mile championship.
