SOUTH AUSTRALIAN POLITICS
Adelaide, Jan. 3. In the Legislative Assembly the Premier announced that the Government had decided to ask for a dissolution. He referred to the constantly obstructive, tactics of the Legislative Council to all democratic measures. The debate on the Supply Bill is proceeding. APPEAL TO IMPERIAL AUTHORITIES. INTERVENTION DECLINED. (Received 4, 9.30 a.m.) Adelaide, Jan. 4. The Government hits appealed to the Colonial Office in connection with the political crisis. The Imperial authorities declined to interfere in the internal affairs of a selfgoverning colony nntil every constitutional remedy -was exhausted. The Council yesternight carried n resolution for forwarding to. the Imperial authorities protesting that the Premier’s message to the Colonial Office was incomplete and misleading. Both Houses passed Supply to carry Government over the elections. * It is understood Parliament will dissolve in the middle of January and the election takes place early in February. '
