PITIABLE TRAGEDY.
CHILDREN BURNT TO DEATH. Received 2, 8.5 a.m.) London, Jan. 1. Three small daughters of a private in the Argyll Highlanders with a boy friend, were locked in a bedroom of the married quarters in the barracks of Stirling Castle while the parent was away. The boy attempted to light the gas and fired the bedclothes. • Their screams were unheard, and when the father ’ returned only the boy xxas alive.
