ANNEAL REPORT. (Received 2.. 10.5 a.m.) Sydney. Jan. 2. The annual report <>f Papua shows that the European population is 1032. an increase for the year of 152. Sime 1906 the kuised areas have increased. from 2089 to 364,000 acres. Through the past two or three years there has been a large falling off in the quantity of leased land and several large leases have been forfeited. Agricultural improvements are steadily progressing. The gold output is 179 ounces, which is an increase on recent, years. Mining generally is improving.
