A BOY’S ACCIDENT.
CHILDREN SET ON FIRE. London. Dee. 2S. A child attempting to light a cigarette in a room adjoining a picture palace at Chesterfield, set fire to a group of children dressed in muslin and cotton wool trimmings awaiting a performance. Five are in a critical condition.
ONE DEATH REPORTED. TWENTY IN THE HOSPITAL. (Received 29, 9.30 a.in.) London. Dec. 2H. As a result of the fire al the picture palace at Chc st f rfte 1 d one chi 1 d has rut-cumbeil ami twenty others were it moved to the hospital. The first child ablaze rushed about the room igniting others. One was seriously burned endeavouring to extinguish the flames. The children ablaze si niggled down a narrow stairway mto the street, whire a crowd extinguished the flames.
