WAIPAWA CONVENT SCHOOL.
The Municipal Theatre was crowded last night at a conceit given by the pupils and scholars of the Convent School. From past experience ■-me anticipated an enjoyable evening and this was realised, those present being delighted with the en-ortaimm-nt and the sisters are to be congratulated on the success of the function. Each item was so praise•vorthy and so well received that it ,s I'.ard to single one out for special mention. At the crmchision of the concert, piizes wen- presented to the scholars at the hands of tiie Mayoress Ohs. A. I. Limbrn-k). The dist i ibution ' *,f prizes to scholars of the Waipawa District High School will take place next Wednesday afternoon in the Municipal Theatre: The school breaks up for the holidays the same morning. Au early start is t<» be made in tarring the school playgrounds.
