A bomb filled with nails was exploded at Liege. Some of the victims’ legs were blown off. and fifty were injured. Verveck. the supposed author of the outrage, died of his wounds. The bomb was loaded with gunpowder and chlorate. Tlie victims mostly belonged to the working class, including manjgirls. The incident has aroused fears of a renewal of the outrages of seventeen years ago. when Liege was the centre of Anarchism.
