MINERS' PHTHISIS.
COMMISSION’S REPORT. Perth. Dec. 6. The Miners’ Phthisis Commission’s report recommends vhe compulsory medical examination of miners be fore employment : the medical examination of ail miners every six months; that- miners medically rejected be sent to a sanitcrium at the -tate’s expense; that the Miners’ Claims Board should find employment for the medically rejected ; tha’ a Miners’ Insurance Trust he established. miners, owners and the State each contributing a third of the premiums ; and the miners to receive free attention and medicine. The report was laid on the table of the Assembly.
