His Grandsire was Lord Erskine (1741, C. 5.8.), who was sire of that unbeaten horse Cairnbrogie Stamp ; his grandsire was Bovdston Boy (111 C. 5.8.). Wallace’s dam was Grace Darling (694 C. 5.8.) by Darnley (222, C. 5.8.) ; his grand-dam was Keir Alary (203, C. 5.8.) by Loch Fergus Champion (449, C.S.B); his great-grand-dam was by Lord Clyde (447, C. 5.8.). For further pedigree see Clydesdale Stud Book. Wallace was a great prize-taker, as also were bis sire and dam.
