Messrs. W. Turner and C<>. have been busily engaged in unpacking several cases and bates of salvage stock, which arrived by s.s. Monowa l from Auckland yesterday, for hriday’s sale. The blankets are opening up well. Nearly all are wet but by Friday will be quite dry. The majority are marked by smoke and a few pairs only are slightly burned at the edge, the balance are ahnesr untouched. The rugs are practically undamaged—they are both dry and unburnt. The flannels are good, particularly the coloured ones. The creams are marked in places l>ur these marks disappear as the wool dries. The balance of the goods are undamaged but will till be sold at salvage prices from hriday next. December Sth. The doors open at S’ a.m. sharp. Trie first buyers will of course secure the best values, as a lot of whole lines are to be marked at one price.'"'
