THOUST ERIDGE DISASTER.
PERSGVt. DROWNED. Paris, Nov. 24. The bridge at Satnuur collapsed while the train .was crossing. Of 50 persons on the train 22 were drowned, including seven railway officials. Crowd'; stood helplessly watching the survivors’ efforts to maintain a precarious held on the wreckage, the flood sweeping away one after □.pot her. Meanwhile heroic rescuers repeatedly attempted to save them. Al. Bouillat, wine merchant, was among those who perished, bis wife also being among' the drowned. The train driver was saved by holding on to the tail of a pig swimming ashore. Ultimately military engineers rescued half-dead survivors from the roof. A'similar accident occurred on the. same line ,m IDIO, when 27 were drowned.
