The Council of the Royal Geographical Society has promised an additional £]()()() to the Scott expedit ion.

Regarding the cable messages referring to an appeal for £15,000 for the British Antarctic expedition, Mr. J. J. Kinsey states that originally the funds were insufficient and the present appeal is for the general purposes of the expedit ion, the statemnt that the amount required was wanted in connection with repairs to the Terra Nova being ridiculous;.
