TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —It has been repeatedly stated from the platform in many parts of the Dominion that the Ward partystands for the “People of New Zealand and especially the Workers.” Now, sir, if this be true can you inform your readers (and there must be a number of them) if it is a fact that the Public Works Department recently contracted for about £5OOO worth of iron sash frames that could have been made in this country at about the same price as the imported article ; that the Ward Adnainintration are offering a bonus for the purpose of developing our iron deposits ; who lias the contract for supplying the Government with oil and tlie price per gallon ! —I am, etc., WORKER.
