THAMES IRON WORKS.
CAUSE OF THE FAILURE
(Received 17, 10 a.m.)
London. Nov. 16
Mr. A., F. Hills, chief of the Thames Iron Works, attributes the failure of the company to the fact that working capital was expended in preparations for building the Thunderer and losing the order for construction of the battleship Ajax. It was an audacious implication to say that the unwillingness of the Admiralty to accept the Thames Company’s tenders scaled its doom.
