THE ONLY REMEDY

At die Rent inquiry Commission, the Marrieville Council Clerk declared the rent of s- nte houses had increased a hundred per centum in a few I ears and during the same period rates were augmented by only two per centum. Other witnesses considered the remedy lay with Government assistance to build.
