Licensing authorities are in a quandary in regard to tlie new ele---toral districts. Several hotels have been put into new districts with the result that the police, as inspectors, do not know to which licensing committee they should forward their reports. A wise in point is the Wallingford hotel, which used to be in the YY'aipawa district, but is nowin Pahialua. No one seems to know, says the Dannevirke "News,” whether the boundaries, as far as licensing matters are concerned, take effect at once or at the end cf the year. The matter has been referred to headquarters at YY ellington.
