The deep interest which was taken in the Ucnnty elections yesterday was mainly centred in the contest between Messrs. T. E. Crosse and H. lan Simson for the suffrages of the ratepayers in the Heretaunga riding. Shortly bi Tore 9 o’clock a crowd a<-t milled outside the "Tribune" office at Hastings and possessed themselves in patience until about a quarter to ten. when the -results came to hand.
