European refugees asert the position is critical. Turkish papers state that Tripoli has been recaptured. One paper alleges that the Turks on Saturdav drove the Italians back fmni the city. Mie latter losing 300 killed, anti 700 wounded. ITALIAN REIN FORCEMENTS. Rome, Oct. 30. The Duchess of Aosta is aboard the hospital ship bound for Tripoli. Italy is hurrying 17.500 reinforcements to Tripoli. ARABS SHOT AVITHOUT TRIAL. AVOMEN AND CHILDREN SLAUGHTERED. (Received 31, 9.20 n.m) Malta, Oct. 30. Details cf last Monday’s fight show that the Italians suppresed the rising with the utmqst severity, wiping cut an oasis which was a danger spot by shooting without trial every Arab they met there. In the confusion manv women and children were killed. BOMBARDMENT OF BENGHAZI. Reuter’s correspondent, was not. allowed to enter Benghazi, but: learned that the bombardnu nt on the 19th inst. did immense damage. Nearly 3()<) civilians, including 150 women and children, were k’llcd. THE ITALIAN DEATH ROLL. (Received 31, 1.20 p.m.) London, Oct. 30. It is ofiiei'illy announced tlrd from the 23rd to the 23th instant, Italian losses at Tripoli were thirteen officers ar.d 361 men killed, and 16 officers and 142 men wounded. The preponderance <>f killed was ■due to the fact that a band of rebel Arabs suddenly attacked the Bersaglicri on the flank. ARAB LOSSES. Reuter estimates’4ot>o Arabs were killed in fighting or subsequently shot between the 23rd and 27th instant::.
