EFFORTS STRUGGLING INTO LIFE. (Received 31, 8.5 a.m.) London, O«t. 30. The Archbishop of Canterbury, speaking in St. Mairy’s Cathedral at Edinburgh, commended the efforts after Christian unity, efforts which were struggling spontaneously ami independently into actual life in centres so far. apart as Melbourne, Toronto. Shanghai, New York and Edinburgh. They began to see the dawning of the day when the effort would finally be emphasised in things whereon Christians agreed. It would be " a distinct change towards understanding with God. but there must be no attempt to rush what could only come by growth. growth. '
