Mlle. Arria Ly. a loader of the Femin, ist movement in Toulouse, who recently challenged a local journalist named Prudent Masset to a duel, has been the cause of an encounter.
M. Masset on receiving the suffragettes challenge said he would not fight a woman, hut would meet a male champion on her behalf Al. X'incent Auriol. another journalist thereupon "rote an article which led to a challenge. After firing four times at each other, says tho ■‘Matin.” without result, and four bouts with foils without hurting each other, the duel was stopper].
