MOTOR CYCLE SPORTS.
A considerable amount of interest is being taken iri the Motor Cycle Sports to be held on the Hastings racecourse on ednesdav next. I’lie whole of the proceeds of the sports ami the art union held in conjunction are tc> lie handed t-.i the Hastings Brass Band for the purpose of paying off the balance owing on their new instruments, which are e.xpeetcd to arrive in the course ot •1 few weeks. The programme is an excellent one anti included two handicap speed events, two novelty races, an event for decorated motor cars and cycles and the North Island championship of 20 miles lor motor cycles. The charge for admission to the ground (I/-) includes a chance in the art union, the two prizes in which arc a gold specimen an<l picture value £lO and a gold speeiman and picture table 115.
