A fare well convert to Mr. J. S. Lomas, 8.A., assist.ant mastci- at the Boys’ High School. Napier, was given by the pupils and teaching ntalf .at the school yesterday afternoon. The concert: was organised by ('. Uhegwidden and C. Goiklis. Songs were rendered by J. F.aulknor ami N. Allen, violin solo by ('■ Geddis. pianoforte solo l>y E. Jamieson, and recitation by K. Edmundson. After these items had been given. Mr. Andrews .on behalf of the masters made a short speech referring to tlnvaluable services that Mr. Lomas bad performed during the past year. He at the same time presented Mr. Lomas with a small token as a mark of the esteem in winch he was held bv the teaching staff. E. O. Buddock. head prefect, on behalf of the day boys, presented Mr. Lomas with a set of ])i[)es, and M . King, head house prefect, ,Presented him with another small token. C. Chegwidden. hon. secretary of the boys Camera Club in a short speeen orcsented Mr. Lomas with a Look. The recipient responded feelingly.
