At. Hibernia, in New Jersey, a blast destroycil a petition between two shafts in the iron mines of the Wharton Steal Company, and water flooded the working, twelve men being drowned. The vieiims were mostly foreigners. Sixty men were overwhelmed, nil escaping, save those who were unable to make their way out of the flooded gallery.
