So brilliant was this performance that he was never afterwards given a chance by the handicappers. His last outing was in the City Handicap at the
A.J.C. Spring Meeting, in which, with I 9st 51b, he ran second to Proceed, 7st 9ib. Last season, in New Zealand, Maniapoto won the St. Andrew’s Handicap at the Feilding J.C. Spring Meeting, and the following month rar. second, with Ost 71b. l.f mile in 2min 7 l-ssec in the President's Handicap at the Manawatu R.C. Summer Meeting to The Lark, Bst 71b. Maniapoto has a strong recommendation as a sire from the fact that he combines the double strain of Fisherman blood and the best of all crosses, that of St. Simon and Musket. A good performer on the turf, and with everything to recommend him as regards breeding, there is not much doubt but that Maniapoto's services will be in great demand. TERMS - 10 GUINEAS.
