THE COUNTY ELECTIONS.
Mr. C. Codil will be a candidate for the Pukciapu Rilling at the Hawke's Bay County Council election. The other candidates for this riding are Mr. Harold and Mr. A. (’. Bennett. Mr. Thomas Clarke is likely to be. the only candidate hir the Pettine Riding. Mr. Lopdell having decided not to stand. Mr. C. L. Gordon is the only candidate declared so far for the Clive Riding. Mr. Stanley Bennett has decided to oppose Mr. Sli rimpt on for the Okawa Riding. Air. J. McDonald and Mr. P. Parsons are the candidates for the Meanee Riding. Mr. G. P. Donnelly will be returned unopposed for lhe F.rewhon Riding. There will be no opposition to Mr. Mason Chambers for the Havelock Riding, or to Air. AV. G. Stead for Marackakaho. Air. T. E. Crosse and Air. 11. Tan Simson contest the Heretaunga Riding. The (lections take place on November Sth.
