CRICKET.

FUND TO WIPE OF LIABILITIES. Wellington, Oct. 17. In order to raise funds to clear off its liabilities the Cricket Association has decided to make a levy of 1/- on senior, and 6d on junior players for every playing Saturday this season. Third-class players are exempt. A resolution was passed giving power to make the levy whenever funds are needed. It is expected that £l5O will be raised this summer, and that no further call would be needed.
