HAVELOCK NORTH.

Children's Day was observed in the Presbyterian Church and Sunday School yesterday, special services being held throughout the day with large attendances. At 3 p.m. the school was crowded to hear an address by Mr. M. W. P. Lascelles, of Hastings. The prizes. 6:> in number, won at the recent General Assembly examinations, were distributed by the Rev. Mr. Waugh. It was intimated that the Havelock Sunday Schoo! had won the much coveted banner, which is presented to the school gaining the highest marks m the General Assembly examinations throughout the Dominion. The banner lias now been :n existence four years, and tins is the second occasion on which it has been won by the Havelock School. Mr. King's orchestra provided excellent music during the afternoon.
