Hall in the afternoon. There was a large attendance, presided over Uy the Rev. K (». Buckingham lOamarti). who in hts speed referred to the missionary workers which the Baptist Church had sent out into foreign fields. A number of those present gave addresses on the missionary work in general. Afternoon tea was handed round by the ladies present. Jb the evening a missionary meeting was held. Addresses were given by Miss Beekingsale, who has ;ust returned from India, and Rev. R. >- Gray. Mrs. Reid. R -v. and Mrs. Kirkwixxl and the choir rendered musical
items. Rev. R. S. Gray gave a most graphic description of the Russian d -legates to the Philadelphia Congress ami <-t tciBaptist work in Rii"ia. He appealed for help to asst.t i’.i't--: Eet'ier to build a church in St. Petersburg. In response £2l. was promised for Jia> purpose.
