WAIPUKURAU Cl.I B. The annual meeting of the Waipukurati Lawn Tennis Club was held on Monday evening. Mr. Merton pre siding. The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted and shows the club’s affairs to be. if not in a flourishing condition, much improved during tiie recent year. The balance sheet of the recent dance was also presented and showed a good profit. The following officers were elected : President. Dr God fray : vice president. Mr. J. M. Harding: hon. secretary and treasurer. Mr. F. Eyre : committee. Misses E. Gilbertson and Gcdfrav, Messrs Hewitt and Merton : handicapper. Mr. F. F.yro ; match c- mmittee. Messrs Eyre and Merton. PARK t LI B. The opening of the Park Tennis Club’s courts at Cornwall Park. Hastings, took place yesterday afternoon. The weather was nor pleasant, anti < onsequently there ■was not a full attendance of members. The courts are now in firstclass order, and some good tennis ■was played. The three courts were engaged al! the afternoon. After noon tea was supplied I >y the lady members of the club. Several visitors were present ironother chibs, anil expressed their appreciation of the order in which the courts are in.
