A. marriage of considerable local interest was celebrated on October 9rd at the Methodist Church. Waipavva. The contracting parties being Miss Ruth Amelia Pratley, daughter of Mr. Joseph Pratley, \Vaipawa, and Air. Arthur Albert Mulinder, son of the late George Mulinder. The church was packed for the occasion and many failed to gain admission. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked pretty in a. direetoire gown of white radium silk. The bridal toilette was completed by an embroidered tulle veil of white silk tastefully arranged over a wreath of orange blossoms. She was attended by her sister, Miss Amy Pratley and the bridegroom was attended by Mr. Alban Pratley, brother of the bride as best man. The service was conducted by the Rev. AV. S. Maslin, after which Mendelsohn’s ‘‘Wedding March" was played by the organist. A reception was held by the brides parents at their residence "Milton Villa,” after the ceremony, where a large number of guests congratulated the happy couple. The presents were numerous and valuable. The newly-married couple left by the evening train for Palmerston North en route to Auckland and Rotorua, where the honeymoon is to be spent.
