AAlii ii the tramp steamer Wackure arrived from Auckland this morning the captain reported that at eleven o’clock last night two Chinese seamen had a dispute, which resulted in one of them, Wong Bbee, being stabbed on the head and right arm. The assailant carrying his knife with him ran along the deck until the captain covered him with his revolver. The chief officer then closed with him, relived him of bis knife and assisted to put him in irons. The wounded man was removed to the hospital. At the Police Court to-day. Ah Wong was charged with the assault and remanded until October I I th.
