DEATH OF ADMIRAL SCHLEY.
AN EVENTFUL LIFE ENDED

Rear-? dmiral Schley, of. the United States Navy, who was prominent in the Spanish-American war, dropped dead St his club in New York. Admiral Schley sank the Ccrverass fleet in Santiago harbour in July, 1898. He was born in Maryland in 1839, and served through the Civil War, and in the Pacific, China, Japan, Corea, the West Coast of Africa, and South America. In 188-1 he commanded the expedition to the Arctic which rescued Lieut. Greeby.
