He understood the railway fare from Napier was 3 2 first class. The chairman (Mr. T. Mr. Garnett asked Mr. Ching if he could ned lu’va* lutu h bef re leaving for Hastings. Mr. Ching stated that he attended the meet ing of the Danticv irkc Fire Board < n the div previous to the nutting, at Hasting-, ami as lie did not arrive in Hastings till the Idle p.m. train he had to lunch there.
