CLEARLXG SALE. Lundoll. Stewart and Co.. Ltd., report having held a most successful salt on account of Mr. S. Charlton at “ '1 he Lawn.” Clive, yesterday, when they or iered the whole of his dairy stock, horses, implements, etc., to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding throughout was brisk for all classes of stock in forward condition, dairy < ow s and heifers. springing and in profit, realising good prices for those ill good condition, but anything poor was hard to quit. Christclituch. Sept. 27. At Addington there were moderate entries of stock and a good attendance. Ewe hoggets showed a little improvement : wethers were somewhat firmer, and there was a good demand for ewes and lambs. The better classes of ewe hoggets sold at 14 7. -mailed 12 I, mixed sexes 11 7 to 12'9. full-mouth ewes arid lambs s 7 to 9 7 all counted, halfbred wethers 12 10 to L> x. There wers 102 fat lambs penned, a ntinibei of which were small. Owing to the increased numbers offered the competition was not so keen, and prices were easier. The better sorts made 15 - to 21 -. and smaller 9- to II 3. A smati yarding of fat sheep was made tip principally of Southland and North Island consignments. There was a rise ol fully 1 - per head as compared with th. previous vie *k. in consequence of tht supply being short. The range ot prices was: Extra prime wethers to 32 - prime 21 oto 2G others IS -to2l -. extra prime ewes to 31 <>, prime IS G to 23 -6. others 1-1 S to IS ..hoggets 11 I<. to 2li 9. merino wethers 17 G to 21 I, extra to 22 9.

These prices were equal to 30 - to 35,- toi prim** to 40 - for extra, 26 - to 29'- tot medium and 25'6 for cow and inferioi per 10016. The entry of veal calves was made up chiefly of small sorts, and they sold at I 6 to 5 -. one well-finished Yearling making £5 5 -. There was a fair entry of store cattle, and a good <l-maml lor the larger sorts. The yarding of fat pigs showed nn increase in numbers, and prices were consequently easier.
